LALLA MELODA offers an exclusive collection of Berber rugs handwoven by women from rural communities in Morocco.

Béni Ouarain rugs come from the mountains of the Middle Atlas, made by the Aït Ouaraïn tribes. These 100% sheep wool rugs, thick and soft, were designed to insulate and warm Berber tents in harsh climates.

This quality wool comes from about 17 Berber tribes raising sheep in this isolated region, which has allowed Béni Ouarain rugs to preserve their archaic style, with simple, iconic, and authentic geometric patterns.

Classic models often display black and white diamonds, but we also offer other Berber motifs such as dots and fine lines.
