Escape to Morocco without leaving your home by adorning your interior with a Boujaad rug. It is a true work of art, entirely handmade by Berber weavers who tell a story through the unique patterns of their rugs.
Boujaad Berber rugs are woven in the High Atlas of Morocco, originally by a Berber tribe from the city of Boujaad. These 100% wool rugs are woven on traditional looms.
They are authentic rugs whose patterns and colors evoke vintage rugs. The colors are often faded, prematurely worn to give them a patina that can resemble old rugs. However, these are brand new rugs, easily recognizable thanks to their graphics, a subtle blend of faded color blocks and traditional Berber symbols and drawings.
Boujaad rugs are like a dictionary of Berber symbols and motifs. They come from the imagination of the women who weave them, carrying with them an ancestral artisanal and cultural tradition.
Today, Boujaad rugs are considered the most creative, both in terms of the wide range of colors used and the complexity of the motifs reproduced.
Care Instructions for Your Boujaad Berber Rug:
You can brush it occasionally and vacuum it.
In case of stains, clean quickly with lukewarm water and Marseille soap.
